U-18 Season Info




 Practices, Conditioning & Clinics

Team will practice approximately two times per week. Each practice will last approximately 2 hours. Conditioning will be part of practice. Currently practices are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday at Cedar Valley Gym from 5:15 pm to 7:15 pm.


Team will participate in the Puget Sound Region Power League, the Matt Hartner Memorial Tournament in Eugene, OR (January 13-15), President’s Day (Feb.17-19), Pacific NW Qualifier in Spokane, WA (March 23-26), Regional tournament (May 5-6), and Emerald City Classic (May 26-28). We will be playing in a post season tournament the end of June (location to be determined after team is formed). Possible additional one day tournaments will be added once a schedule is provided by the Region.


Team costs will include the following:

  • USA Volleyball Registration for coaches and chaperone
  • Tournament entry fees
  • Hotel and food costs for MLK (transportation not included)
  • Hotel and food costs for Pacific NW Qualifier (transportation not included)
  • Hotel, food, and Airfare costs for a post season tournament in June
  • Facility rental
  • Officiating clinic
  • Administrative expenses
  • Coaches stipend
  • Approximately 2 practices per week; possible additional training sessions.

Team costs will NOT include the following:

  • Each player will pay their own USAV registration this year. The try-out membership is $5.00. When the player is accepted to a club team, they will upgrade to a full USAV membership which is an additional $67.00.
  • Transportation to Eugene and Spokane or any other local tournament
  • Food when at local tournaments is NOT provided in the cost. Parents will be asked to bring one or two items to contribute to the tournament food box for Eugene and Spokane; all other food (within reason) will be provided for the 3 travel tournaments.
  • Hotel, air fare, or transportation for parents at the tournaments
  • Primary medical insurance for the players, coaches, or chaperone
  • Additional activities at tournaments other that what is covered above
  • Uniforms (jerseys, warm up, shoes, spandex, socks, practice/travel shirt, kneepads, backpack) will be purchased with credit card thru online store (H & L Sports) at approximate cost of $450.00.

The cost for the 2018 season is $3,000.00 plus approximately $450.00 for uniforms per player. You may pay in 7 monthly payments with the first payment of $675.00 beginning on November 20 at the signing day. The second payment of $325 will be due December 10. Payments 3 thru 7 will be $400.00 (January thru May); paid by the 5th day of each month.

There are no refunds. Once a contract is signed by the parent(s), the family is obligated to pay the entire cost of the season.

Please note that costs will change if the team adds any additional travel tournaments.
